The 4th Annual Wildcoast Dempsey Holder Ocean Festival is just two weeks away in Imperial Beach on Sunday October 7th and the surf contest is filling up fast!!! Sign up now at www.wildcoast.net or come by the Wildcoast office at 925 Seacoast Drive to sign up.

Jay Novak Surf Designs and Natural Art Surfboards and TNT have donated boards for the Menehune division winners and we have an amazing array of boards, skateboards, clothing and surf products for the raffle and prizes. This will be best and biggest Dempsey ever.

The trophies this year are wooden and handmade in Maui by Mauna Kai. The women’s and junior girls winners will receive handcrafted surf jewelry by Holman Surf Designs.

Contest categories include: Menehune Competitive Boys (11 & under), Menehune Competitive Girls (11 & under), Menehune Noncompetitive (boys and girls), Junior Boys (under 15), Junior Boys (Under 18, Junior Girls (12-17), Open Men’s, Open Women’s, Longboard, Open Stand-up Paddle Surf, Bodyboard, and Retro Challenge.

AWARDS BANQUET-SATURDAY, OCT 6TH / 5PM-9PM: Tijuana Estuary Visitor’s Center
The Dempsey will kickoff on Saturday October 6th at 5pm with a banquet and awards ceremony at the newly remodeled Tijuana Estuary Visitor’s Center overlooking the Tijuana Sloughs. The Baja Bugz, will provide the evening’s entertainment and El Tapatio will be cooking up an amazing Carne Asada dinner for everyone with drinks provided by Karl Strauss Brewery.
