Oceanside is the next stop on the WSA Hobie Championship Tour-December 2
Oceanside has been our most popular venue over the last couple of years. WSA sponsor Surfline is forecasting shoulder high NW swell for O’side Harbor. Wind is expected for Friday and Saturday with conditions cleaning up for Sunday. With construction in the harbor area, parking will be a problem. Make sure you give yourself enough time to park and get to the contest site. This event will sell out! Make sure you register online prior to the Wednesday night at midnight cut-off.
All competitors will receive a WSA long-sleeve T-shirt, just in time for the chilly temperatures. The crew from SoCal Volvo will be on hand to show you the amazing 2008 Volvos in a no-stress pressure free environment. They’ll be burning hotdogs for competitors and holding a beach clean-up with Ocean Minded because “nobody like a dirty beach!”
With six events left in the regular season, there is still time to surf the 5 events needed to qualify for our West Coast Championships. Top rated surfers will then be invited to compete in the Surfing America USA Championships and Team Trials. WSA sends more competitors to the USA Championships than any other organization.
