Southeast/North event #5 was held on December 15 at Bethune Beach
in New Smyrna Beach. There were several double winners of the day along with
fantastic performances from our competitors. Jasset Umbel put on an impressive
performance with victories in the Open Womens and Explorer Girls. Amy Nicholl
took the Explorer Womens final with Jasset coming in second. Noah Schweizer
pulled off another double win in the Open Boys and Explorer Menehuene divisions.
Corey Howell was runner-up to Noah in both the Open Boys and Explorer Menehuenes
but fired it up to win the Explorer Boys final with Noah taking second. Jack
Umbel nailed another victory in the Mini Groms. Nick Rupp cleaned up with
victories in the Open and Explorer Juniors divisions but the big winner was
David Holloway claiming the Open Men’s. Jason Motes doubled up with wins in the
Explorer Men’s and Longboard while Chester Pittman claimed the Masters/Seniors
category.

COMING UP ON OUR RIGHT COAST: Southeast/North Open and
Explorer event #6 on January 12 followed by the College event on January 13 at
Bethune Beach.
