Dale has given us a brief bio on his life up til now. Please read below:

I grew up in Bega, Australia, it is a country town about 20km from the beach. I only got to go surfing on the weekends when we would head to the beach for the day. My dad used to put me on the back of his board and paddle us out the back. At the age of 12 my dad and I moved up the the sunshine coast, this is when I got more and more into surfing as we lived right near the beach. During that time a local board company spotted me and put me on the team, which made me realise that I could actually make a living of surfing if I put the energy towards it. I started competing when I was 13 in local comps in QLD. At the age of 16-17 I progressed into the Australasian Pro Junior series, where I found a true passion to travel and compete, I decided that this is what I wanted my life to be. I am now 21 years old and competing on the WQS. All my energy is put towards my surfing, when I am home I train 3 times a day 7 days a week, both in and out of the water and also mental training. I have my dad to thank for where I am today, he has given so much time and support and still is continuing to do so for me.
