Monday’s Surf – Clean, warm, and still plenty of combo swell

Monday looks like a surf day…the cooler eddy weather that pushed through on Sat-Sun will burn off and we see clear skies and light offshore winds to go with a mix of moderate of WNW-NW and S-SW swells.

Gloomy Sunday – swell still showing out there…but southerly winds and some drizzle keep it from being much fun

Gloomy Sunday – swell still showing out there…but southerly winds and some drizzle keep it from being much fun

More winds in the outer waters tonight will spin up the eddy for Sunday and while there will be some spots that can handle the S-SSW winds a lot of our better breaks will have some bump/texture/crumble to it.

Surf on Saturday? – Yep looks like we have a little window in the morning.

Surf on Saturday? – Yep looks like we have a little window in the morning.

The weather cools off on Saturday but winds don’t get all totally loco on us right away…so there is fairly good chance at some surfable conditions and swell to go with it hitting in the morning. Unfortunately that doesn’t last forever…and sloppier, more onshore winds, move in through the afternoon.

Friday’s Surf – Clean conditions and rideable surf on tap for Friday morning…more NW and S-SW swell filling in later in the day.

Friday’s Surf – Clean conditions and rideable surf on tap for Friday morning…more NW and S-SW swell filling in later in the day.

Friday looks pretty surfable…the weather forecast was calling for funky weather on Friday but is now keeping the light Santa Ana style flowing into Friday morning…so we can expect clean conditions to blend with the small but playful NW/S-SW swells. A new NW swell starts showing at select spots through the day but looks bigger as we head into the weekend.

Fun waves for Friday, funky weather for the weekend, and then more good looking surf for next week

Fun waves for Friday, funky weather for the weekend, and then more good looking surf for next week

We see slowly building combo swell on Friday along with some still nice beach weather. Waves for Wednesday – A little boost of WNW-NW swell and a little pulse of S-SW energy to help tide us over

Waves for Wednesday – A little boost of WNW-NW swell and a little pulse of S-SW energy to help tide us over

Wednesday will be surfable…the winds aren’t excellent…but still even with the bump there will be swell in the water, and once we power through the high tide things should be rideable if not fun at the top spots.

Tuesday’s Surf – Fading but rideable once we slog through the swampthing

Tuesday’s Surf – Fading but rideable once we slog through the swampthing

Tuesday is looking rideable but the mix of high-morning tide, fading NW energy, and holding but inconsistent S-SW blend will keep it from being all that great. Don’t count it completely out…the wind/weather will be nice and may keep the window open long enough to get a few lower tide lines before winds get to it.

Cleaner conditions this week but fading swell. Bigger storms still forming out the back!

Cleaner conditions this week but fading swell. Bigger storms still forming out the back!

Unfortunately we are going to have a few days of smaller swell on tap as we move through the week…oh it won’t go totally flat…but everything, even the weather, gets toned down a bunch. Long-range on the other hand is showing two strong storms, one in the North Pacific and the other in the South Pacific, that could have us in mucho combo swell by the end of the first week of April.
