Central America and Mainland Mexico Short-Range Surf Forecast

SSW (195-205) arrives starts to ease over the weekend.  New overlapping SSW (190-200) due for the start of next week helping bring back moderate sized surf, then a more potent pulse of SSW (190-200) arrives midweek for another round of moderate to plus sized waves through the end of nextweek.  .  Read more for details.

SSW (195-205) is currently bringing head high to overhead+ surf, with standouts seeing sets going a couple feet overhead to double overhead+ at magnets and deepwater breaks.  The swell should back off some through the weekend.

Looking out towards early next week, we’re expecting another round of surf from the S-SSW (190-200) showing up Monday.  This one looks a little smaller, but should still mean waist to head high+ surf along the exposed coast, with standouts head high to overhead+ waves through the first half of the week.

Wednesday the 25th, it looks like bigger SSW (190-200) starts to fill in.  This pulse looks similar in size to the current swell in the water, bringing chest to overhead+ surf to the exposed coast, with standouts seeing sets going head high to well overhead or bigger at deepwater spots.  It looks like a pretty consistent pulse of energy, so you can expect less lulls and set waves to be more regular.  The swell will start to back off through the weekend.

Tropical Outlook

Tropics looking quiet for the time being.

Long-Range Surf forecast Central America and Mainland Mexico

North Pacific Swell Forecast

North Pacific is not looking very eventful for now

South Pacific Swell Forecast

Long-range forecast is looking a little iffy, and overall not all that exciting.

The next swell pulses aside from small background energy look like we could be looking at some small-moderate and consistent S (180-190) for around the 1st of May.  It’s still too early to call, but its worth keeping an eye on.  If that system gets an extra shot of cold air, or high pressure to the NW strengthens.  It could become a better looking swell.  Beyond that small background swell possibly arriving around the 5th.  Stay tuned.

Next long-range forecast expected for Tuesday the 24th of April
