Summary:

S swell continues to build in on Sunday (180-190) while mixing with some smaller background S-SW energy and WNW-NW swell (285-300) helping to flesh out the gaps in the bigger S swell. Expect the biggest surf at spots with direct exposure to the S.

Patchy Fog
62
Mon, April 21 - playful
waist to shoulder high with occasional head high sets.
Summary:

A large, but very steep lump of new NW swell (290-320) will peak through the day on Monday. Most of this energy will slip past the average Socal breaks, but some will bend in around the corner and mix with our steady S-SW swells (180-210). Expect combo spots to have more consistency and size than other areas...but good S facing spots will be fun as well.

Swell/Tide/Wind Details
Weather: Low: 56 High: 62

Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Light northwest wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Decreasing Clouds
61
Tue, April 22 - rideable
waist to shoulder high with occasional head high sets.
Summary:

The blend of overlapping S-SW energy (180-210) and new NW swell (290-300) will continue on Tuesday. In fact the steeper NW energy will slowly shift to more of a windswell-type swell and begin to slip a little more to the WNW, which will allow some extra swell to make it into Socal. Look for sizes to hold, though the local winds may get a little funky.

Swell/Tide/Wind Details
Weather: Low: 55 High: 61

Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
