Thursday
4-6ft
Patchy Fog
60
Thu, May 23 - bad
shoulder to overhead with occasional overhead sets.
Summary:

More SSW swell (195-215) will slip down slightly on Thursday but more long-period energy will start to push in later in the day. Local windswell may get a bump as winds in the outer waters increase, but how much of it will be able to make it around the corner of Point Conception will depend on how the fetch sets up as we get closer.

4-5+ft
Patchy Fog
62
Fri, May 24 - marginal
shoulder to head high with occasional overhead sets.
Summary:

The mix of S-SW swell (190-220) continues on Friday as more long-period swell moves in to reinforce the energy we already have in the water. Look for the NW windswell to hold through the day as well thanks to stronger outer water winds. Right now the conditions look a little textured thanks to another round of eddy conditions but the size-consistency of the swell should keep the crumble from getting to pronounced.

Saturday
3-5+ft
Patchy Fog
60
Sat, May 25 - marginal
chest to head high with occasional overhead sets.
Summary:

Saturday one SSW swell will start to fade out while a new long-period S-SSW swell (all lumped together in the 180-210 swell direction range) will be on the rise. WNW-NW windswell backs down as the winds in the outer waters start to mellow out as well, which could help weaken the eddy winds. Look for plenty of surf at the S-SW exposed beaches, and weaker waves at the windswell spots.

Patchy Fog
Mon, May 27 - rideable

Summary:

Memorial Day will have a mix of holding S-SSW swell (180-200) and a building WNW-NW windswell (285-300). The windswell will layer in more energy as we head into the afternoon. Winds look a little better for Monday morning as they blow out of the E-ESE, but there may be a few small pockets of texture lurking at the more exposed spots.
